The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK) is currently recruiting volunteers to serve as Consumer Advisors on its Accessibility Advisory Committee. Consumer Advisors are persons with lived accessibility experience and include: past or present clients of the Treatment Centre, their parents or caregivers, community partners and other citizens of Chatham-Kent.
Consumer Advisors will act to provide a unique perspective on accessibility through input from lived experience, and through feedback sought from consumer focus groups. Consumer advisors will work collaboratively with other members of the committee to develop viable plans and solutions to issues of accessibility. The Consumer Advisors will adhere to CTC-CK’s values which includes: family and community, partnerships, expertise, respect and accountability.
To be eligible, applicants must be a resident of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent and over 18 years of age. The committee meets monthly with the exception of July, August and December.
