Last Friday, the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation hosted their second-annual Festival of Golf golf tournament! This year’s Festival of Golf, Golf Around the Globe, brought in 144 golfers and 50 volunteers for 18 holes of incredible games and entertainment, food and drink stations, and of course, golf, followed by dinner and an after party with Toast and Jam.
Throughout the course, golfers enjoyed sausage, ribs, sushi and taco stations, life-sized jousting, beer pong and hockey stations, specialty drink stations, cigar bar, along with a mariachi band, Brazilian Dancers and Belly Dancers.
Following the day of golf, the Foundation handed out 14 incredible doors prizes including an Apple Watch, Windsor Spitfires box, VIP Festival of Giving tickets, and a Charcoal BBQ. New this year was a Live Auction, featuring an autographed Bruce Springsteen guitar, and custom laser-etched fireplace, which was followed by a Vegas-style buffet and after party with Toast and Jam.
This year’s 2017 Ford Mustang winner was Eric Vangassen, and best score winners were Steve Myers, George Bossy, Greg Hetherington and Fraser Hetherington, who received the embroidered, green Festival of Golf jackets and event trophy.
The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation is extremely thrilled that their second-annual Festival of Golf was such a success, raising $60,000 in support of the Centre’s Enhanced Programs, including Adapted Recreation, Music Therapy and Social Work, programs not covered under core funding. The Foundation thanks their event sponsor, the Junctura Group, all the Hole and Entertainment sponsors, golfers and volunteers who made this year’s Festival of Golf such a successful, entertainment-packed day.
